ADDICTION: Over the years in Nigeria, both adults and under aged individuals has access to illicit drugs and harmful substances. This has led to abuse of these substances, addiction and consequently (early) death. Research shows that the Northern part of Nigeria over the past decade has recorded the highest rates of drug abuse and addiction amongst both genders as well as adolescents and adults. Adolescents doing drugs Addiction is a compulsive, chronic, physiological or psychological need for a habit-forming substance, behavior or activity having harmful physical, psychological, or social effects and typically causing well-defined symptoms and/or death (Merriam Webster).
